Ucas applications window

The UCASCurrent form shows all of the UCAS applications for the criteria selected in the UCAS Menu, and the different records can be navigated to using the normal arrows at the bottom of the form.

Some of the information in this form will be automatically populated for you from the pupil’s record, but the rest (such as UCAS number, year, Destination etc.) will be needed to be filled in manually. For your convenience the Pupil’s record can be accessed directly from here by pressing the Student button at the top left of the form. The Destination is the actual University being attended by the student – the later sections are for recording the applications made to various other institutions.

The middle section is for adding AS and A level scores and grades. There are spaces for estimates, different module scores, and so on. The AS column is automatically calculated from the module results entered in the first three columns. If you tick the tick box in the Inc(lude) column it will add the contents of the Score column for each subject together and calculate the total into the UCAS Score box in the top right hand corner for you.

The final section is for recording actual applications to the various Universities, the course they’ve applied for (and applicable course code) as well as some other information relating to the applications process.

- The Int(erview) column is for storing when an Interview is to take place with the University (if applicable).

- The OD column is for storing the Offer deadline.

- The Offer column is for storing any offer made by the University in question – whether it’s a rejection, a total amount of UCAS points required, or a certain grades requirement.

- The Resp(onse) column is for the response made by the student to the offer (if any); this is usually one of three things:

           CD – Offer Declined

           CF – First choice

           CI – Insurance choice

- The Conditions column is whether or not the Offer is Conditional or Unconditional.
