Tracking
Wednesday, 12 November 2008 10:52

You do not have to track your test scores but can do so. If you track them, they will be combined with the tracks you create from other sources and will be available from the Tracks button on the pupil form.

You can track either or both grades. Just click the button or buttons that match that which you are looking to do.

You can immediately use a track by going to a pupil's record and looking at their tracks. However, you can also look at a set of tracks across a group of pupils by clicking the Tracking list button on the Assessment Menu. You can now produce a spreadsheet showing the progress of any number of selected years for any number of selected subjects over any number of selected tracks. As the information grows this becomes a very powerful tool for monitoring pupil progress.

You can also look at the detail of any particular track. The names, grades and subjects are shown and you have the opportunity to add these to a report. (They may of course already form part of a report from which the track was created.) To add to a report, just select the report they are to be added to, select the grade slot you want to add them to, choose whether you want to display the grade or the score, and click the Add Now button. The slot must of course be switched on in the report definition or it will not appear.
