Schools are under increasing pressure to track pupil progress in ever greater detail. SchoolBase now offers many tools that allows a school to track the progress of each pupil including the facility to: a) display any set of results in a sheet where one pupil can be compared to others. b) display results for any individual over an extended period of time.
The results used may include things such as:
- examination scores (external or internal)
- report grades (e.g. for effort or achievement)
- target grades
- standardised results such as MidYIS, YELLIS, ALIS and CATS
- reading, spelling and writing ages
These elements can be viewed holistically thus giving a picture of (say) a year group. More importantly, they can be tracked, together with any parental report element, on a pupil by pupil basis giving rapid access to a child's progress. In this way an overall picture of pupil progress can be built up which should be invaluable in discussions with parents, between pupils and tutors, and in allowing teachers to have a much better grasp of what support a pupil needs.
In the following documentation a track refers to a set of results for a particular pupil recorded on a particular date and displayed as a single column.
