Timetable

|

This form opens when you click the Individual lessons button on the Exceptions section of the Basics tab of the Timetable Menu. Its purpose is to allow you to schedule an individual lesson such as one-to-one coaching or a music lesson, or to schedule a series of such lessons. This can only be done where the time of the lesson coincides with that of a normal timetabled lesson. This is easiest to understand if we look at a typical scenario. A pupil's music lessons are being scheduled for the coming term. The lessons are always on a Tuesday but the lesson should not be at the same time each week to avoid over-disrupting a particular subject. This is what you would do: - Select the pupil from the Pupil dropdown.
- Enter the date of the first lesson, the Period, a note about what it is, who is teaching it and where.
- If you wish this to be a weekly lesson, enter how many times you want this lesson repeated.
- If you wish the lesson to be moved to a different period each week, tick the Move period onĀ button.
- If you wish the lesson to rotate back to the start of the day rather than move onto a new day after the last lesson, then tick Keep to the same day.
There are additional buttons to: - Staff timetable - view the timetable of the member of staff
- Staff lessons - list the extra lessons for the member of staff
- Room lessons - list the extra lessons set up for that room
For the last two options you choose whether to list the lessons still to come or list all the lessons including those already completed.
The extra lesson or lessons appear in the top right of the pupil's timetable.
