Current Academic Year Check that this is correct Max periods per day Complete the maximum periods per day and days per week – these are used in the timetable. Max No of registration periods This should be set to how many times you do attendance registration in the week. Bus pass variable This is a string used when printing bus passes – consult FBS before using this and the bus section Blank period text This appears on pupil timetables if they do not have a timetabled lesson – ‘Study period’ is a common setting. Use alternate Checksheet recipient If you tick this box a text field appears in which you can enter an alternative to the default setting for the recipient name for returned sheets on the Pupil Check Sheet (e.g. The Registrar, The School Secretary) Standard Finance Invoice The document used for invoicing by the finance system. Normally this will be customised for you and you will be told the name to enter here. Standard Letter You need to use the Merge Letter form to create a standard letter which is used when you click the Letter button on a pupil contact record. Enter the name of the Merge Letter here. Staff Name Format This is used in a variety of locations within SchoolBase, most commonly when choosing a teacher from a dropdown. Choose your preferred setting here. Assessment Shortcut Key When writing reports (including Additional reports) pressing the key chosen here inserts the pupil's name. By default it is a #. The format of the name can be Given name (default), First name or Report name. Force spell check on Report Writers If ticked this will ensure that spell checking is enforces on subject comments in RepWriteN01 and RepWriteN02. Limit Phone List If ticked this will limit the Phone Type in the dropdown for a contact telephone number to just those already used. You can use Phone Sorter to clean up this data and remove unnecessary duplicates.
