Assessment

A subject reported on may have several different identifiers. These can include:
- a three letter abbreviation e.g. DTC for Design Technology - a group name e.g. 3G Des Tech Set 1
However, on the report we normally want the full name of the subject which is being taught, e.g. Design Technology. A record is held for each subject which holds, among other things, the three-letter abbreviation and the full subject name. This can be edited via the Subjects button on the Timetable Menu.
For each teaching group, you must also indicate which subject is being taught. This is done via the Groups form by selecting a three-letter code in the Sub column. It is the full subject name associated with this code which will appear on the report. You can check quickly that each group has a subject associated with it by clicking the Check groups have subjects button on the Assessment Menu. Any groups without subjects will be listed there.
