Security Levels for Secure Notes & Secure Documents
We have been asked to add functionality to the Secure documents by having the same approach as we have for Secure Notes. Thus we have two fields to the Secure Documents are which hold a link to a secure note and the security level.
IF YOU DON’T USE SECURE NOTES – then just carry on as before and leave these fields blank. They both default to 0 thus existing users will see exactly what they do now.
 You can also start using the Security levels on the documents without linking to Secure notes. Just select a level – if there are none there then these need allocating to the logged on person. Staff with access to the ‘Staff System Usage’ are able to set the users security level.

To use in full
• open secure notes in the normal way
• add a note in the normal way
• once you have added the note, you will be able to click the linked documents button.This will open the secure documents form BUT ONLY for documents related to this note and only at or below your security level.
• documents can then be added and will be automatically linked to the note you started from
Please note you cannot associate a document with a note, only a note with 1 or many documents.
