This form opens when you click the Secure Notes button on the pupil record. This button is only visible to those who have had a security level set as part of their staff record. The purpose of the form is to allow you to record a piece of information about a pupil which is sensitive in nature and therefore not available to all users of the system. In order to see a secure note not only must a member of staff have a security level set but the level set for the note must not exceed the security level of the user. A user may not create a secure note with a security level higher than his or her own.

To create a new note:

  • set the Security level
  • type the note into the upper text box
  • click the Add now button and the note will be added to the system

If you wish to abandon the note before saving it, click the Clear this button. Once saved, a note is stored permanently and cannot be deleted.

If there is more than one note stored, you can navigate between them using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the form.
