The form to enter subject reports in SchoolBase Online is based on the SchoolBase report writer that you are probably already familiar with. At the top there is a spell checker, save and navigation buttons. Please press save when you have written a comment to ensure it is saved back to your SchoolBase database. Previous and Next buttons allow you to navigate between pupils in the teaching group.

The form shows you the subject report for one pupil at a time, and any curriculum or method statements you are using for the whole teaching group at the top. Grades are entered in the drop-down boxes (here labelled Practical, Theory and Effort, but these headings are defined by your school), so you will be limited to the grade set that the school has chosen to use. e.g. if the grade set allows A, B, C, D & E you will not be able to use B+ as a grade. The lower set of boxes are for scores, which are a numeric value. It is not currently possible to calculate averages or positions using SchoolBase Online, this needs to be done through SchoolBase.

At the bottom of the form is a box that tells you how many characters you have left available for the main comment. If you try to exceed the number of characters allowed, your extra characters will not be entered into the comment. You may then need to edit the comment in order to cut down the overall number of characters to enable you to fit in that last crucial sentence!

When finished, save your work, and use Previous and Next to navigate to other pupils in the group. To navigate to other groups, click 'Back to pupils', then 'Back to groups' to select another teaching group. Alternatively click the Home button when you are finished writing reports.
