When you select Examinations from the main menu you are offered the choice to see exam entries or exam timetable for any of your children who have been entered for External Examinations through the school.
In this case only one pupil has been entered in one exam series. If more than one of your children has exam entries, or if your child has been entered for external exams in more than one exam series in their time with the school, you will see more rows here. To view exam reports, choose whether you want to see entries or timetable, using the radio buttons, then select the pupil's exam name on the row you want to view. The screenshot below shows the beginning of Amber's Exam Entries. The above screenshot shows the first few lines of exam entries for our example pupil. The first line will show the pupil's full name as used by the exam boards, the level of the exams the pupil is taking (e.g. GCSE or A-Level), and the candidate number (2003 in Amber's case but it could be any 4 digit number). The next line shows the name they are usually known as, the UCI (unique candidate number) and UPN (unique pupil number - this may not be filled in, it is only a requirement in state schools). Then there is the school form, then a section for each of the teaching groups for which exam entries have been made. The month and year are for the exam series, and may not be exactly when the exam is held, e.g. every summer a lot of the June series exams are actually held in May. Look at the exam timetable for the exact date of these exams. The next line shows the teaching group, the teacher's name and the exam board. Then you will see the code and title for each qualification and unit. Navigation around the exams area and SchoolBase generally is done using the top area of the screen shown below.
The Home button takes you back to your main menu. Logout takes you back to the login screen. Please use this when you are finished with SchoolBase The help button links you to these help pages. Back will take you back to the examination area so you can look at the exam timetable, a different exam series, or a different pupil's entries.
You can navigate around the report using the grey row of buttons. If you have more than one page you can use the (next record) and (last record) buttons to move around the report. You can change the size using the dropdown that shows 100% (full size). If you are searching for a particular thing, e.g. an entry for Chemistry, type the text 'Chemistry' into the find box, press 'Find' and you should be taken to that entry. allows you to save and view your exam entries or timetable outside the SchoolBase website. Choose either Excel or PDF format, then press 'Export' and you will be asked whether you want to open or save the file. If you open the file it will open in either an Excel spreadsheet (you will need to have Microsoft Office Excel or a compatible spreadsheet program installed on your computer) or as a PDF (you will need to have Adobe Reader or similar PDF reader software installed). If you choose to save the file you will be prompted where you want to save it and will be able to open it in Excel or Adobe Reader (or compatible software) at a future date.
