SchoolBase® allows a teacher to see who should be in their room for a specific lesson. This is accessed from Registration Exceptions. They can then record exceptions and these appear for the tutor next time they mark the register as shown below
If the period is marked as a Registration Period on the Periods tab of the Timetable menu, the same form allows the teacher to take the register. If the Use PERIOD REGISTRATION option in System Variables is switched on this form can be used for registering all lessons. However, you need to nominate two designated lessons per day feed through to the official register. The teacher selects their name and the period from the dropdowns and the pupils in the group should then appear and the register can be marked. The register will only be writeable if this is a lesson during which registration is taken and only one of the two sessions can be completed depending on the time of day.
 Note: there is now a button linking this form to the Day Book (top right-hand corner). The form opens with the pupils from the registration group already selected. |
