Any view created by us or by you in SchoolBase® can be distributed to your users using the form QueryViewer. You create a menu item in the normal way using Forms and Reports giving it a name and a description. Then select QueryViewer as the System Form Name. When you do this a new dropdown appears alongside which gives access to all the views held in SchoolBase® including ones you have created yourself. This is where you select the view you wish to make accessible.
The output the user sees will have a column for each column in the view (you are limited to a maximum of 120 columns!). The table will export to Excel or Word in the normal way.
The column headings are the names from the query. You can make them more user friendly by using aliases in your view rather than the table field names which are often obscure. The form allows for columns to be resized, moved or hidden.
