Prospective pupil checkpoints are accessed from the utility buttons on the right hand side of the Prospective Pupil information pages.
Check points can be really useful for tracking milestones in the progress towards enrolment. These tend to be used for recording whether particular events have taken place. The figure above contains part of a typical list which can be edited as one of the Look-up Forms. Compare these to the Stages on the Application page and you will see that these can provide a different kind of detail.
To record a check point for an individual pupil, click on the Check Points button to the right of the pupil record. Select the check point you wish to add from the dropdown list. You can if you wish add the check points and then later record them as completed by ticking the Done tickbox. You will be recorded automatically as having entered the check point.
These check points can then be searched out on the various lists for prospective pupils, mail merge letters prepared, list created and so on. A pre-defined report is available which may usefully be added to Pupil Lists or New Entrants. A list of pupils with the checkpoints reached can also be produced using .
Perhaps of real benefit is the ability to search out someone who has NOT reached a certain check point. As you have seen this can be found in the search criteria for prospective pupils.
