The old method of importing using a dedicated MidYIS form has been superseded by import via the tracking system.

All the names shown on the examples here have been changed and thus the screen shots are not quite as you would see them live.

You want to end up with a single sheet ready to import into SchoolBase®. The top row will be column headings; the columns are in two parts - the first 7 columns are for identification and other information that will not be imported into SchoolBase®. This is followed in column 8 (H) onwards by the data that represents the scores and grades.

Firstly, you should be aware that most of the organisations that organise the various tests allow you to provide them with a number identifier. Please use PupOrigNum as this identifier. This will enable you to link the records with those in SchoolBase.  You can use Export Builder to prepare the data to send to the appropriate organisation.

In the example shown above, you would want to copy rows 14 onwards. Paste the copied cells into a clean spreadsheet:

PLEASE ENSURE you have 7 columns on the left BEFORE the data that you are wanting to import. You can delete any unwanted columns or leave them here and drop them during the import process. It is probably easier and quicker to delete from here.

Hint - to delete a column highlight the column and right click then select delete. To get rid of another column, just select it and click F4 to repeat the previous operation.

The import process is now exactly as described in Steps 3 to 6 of the Turnaround Document Method.
