Introduction
SchoolBase® has very powerful features for creating, dispatching and recording standard letters and for creating labels for many different purposes. In this page you will find a summary of what is available and links to pages dealing in detail with each aspect.
Document Templates
When sending a letter from within SchoolBase® you can choose from a list of previously created templates with customised header and footer and your choice of font, font colour and font size. The header may for example contain the school crest, address and the name and title of the sender. The footer might contain, for example, the school’s web address.
Merged Letters
Having selected a pupil or selection of pupils you can send each of them the same letter personalised with their own name, address and other personal details. Any number of these standard letters can be saved for future use and amended from time to time as required. A contact record is created automatically for each pupil.
Label Templates
Label stationery comes in a variety of designs with varying sizes, numbers of columns and numbers of labels to a sheet. You may enter details of one or more sets of label stationery you use regularly so that address, name or other labels are printed correctly for your stationery.
