Once the Curriculum is built and you have created the teaching groups, you can click on the Groups button on each line of the Curriculum form to see the details for that curriculum item. For all but the options you may well find that all you need is the teacher. For options you will need to do some renaming and select the Option Subject (Sub) to overwrite the Curriculum Subject.
The next step is to populate the teaching groups with pupils. Just click the Populate Pupils button at the bottom of the Curriculum form. Where the pupils are taught in classes this should be the end of the story but where they are taught in sets, options or carousels, you will need to do some sorting as SchoolBase® will have placed everyone into the first available set.
The group sorter should prove a real benefit a this stage. If your Y9 maths groups are the same as last years Y8, or if Chemistry, Biology and Physics are all taught in the same groups, the group sorter will save a lot of work.
