Some schools needs different pupil grouping in the finance section from those used in the school office and classroom. ‘Pupil Type Fees’ allows bursary staff to associate fee types with one or more year(s) of children independent of the academic groupings. If you are happy with the current Pupil Types, do nothing as Pupil Type Fees default to the main Pupil Types in SchoolBase.  If, however, you want to modify the existing groupings then use the 'Pupil type fees' option from the Finance Menu 'Codes and settings' to access this form.

Here you can add or change the descriptions. Then, when you are happy with this, click the Apply to years button to move to the Years form, where each year group can be individually allocated to a 'Finance Level' as defined on the previous screen using the drop-down boxes.
