For each group that you want to enter, click the Detail button alongside the relevant group and the Exam Groups form will open.
This form can also be opened by Heads of Department or individual teachers using the menu entry My examination entries (the form name is ExamOMyEntry). This opens the following form:
To open the Exam Groups for a specific teacher: - click alongside the relevant series
- select the teacher from the Teacher dropdown
- click the Entries button
Where there is more than one examination group for that teacher, you can move between groups using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the Exam Groups form.
As you move to a group you must always start by selecting the board. Then you will see the examination qualifications and units (or modules) you have selected.
In the top section of the form, select the qualifications and (where appropriate) the individual modules. If most candidates are taking one paper (e.g. the Higher paper) but a few are not, select the most common option or options. Once this is complete, click the Copy to pupils button and the entries will be copied for all the pupils in the group. You can then go to each individual pupil’s entries and make any necessary alterations.
The Done button is more an indicator than anything else, and as each child is checked it is a good idea to mark them off. Then the inevitable distractions should not cause a problem.
Once you have all the entries correct, click the Mark as Complete button.
This button disappears and is replaced by a second (optional) check button for labelled HoD confirmation. This can be used to mark a second stage of checking where the initial entries are being made by the subject teachers. The examination officer is able to use the main entry form to ‘un-tick’ these if you want to redo an individual or a whole set.
