Select the year you want to enter and click the Create groups button. It is likely that not all of the groups will be entered for an examination. It is quite possible to select all of (say) year 10 and delete all but a single group who are going to do Mathematics early.

You can keep adding years and editing or adding groups until the groups represent those you wish to make entries for.

In some cases a group will be entered for more than one examination. A common example is English where candidates are entered for both English and English Literature. In this case, identify the group and click the
Copy button alongside it. The additional group will be added to the bottom of the list but if you click in the group name field and then click the sort button on the toolbar the two groups will be listed adjacently.

Group entry headers

Once you have the groups right, click the
Add pupils button.

PLEASE NOTE you do not have to use this process to add any groups. Once you have a header, you can go straight on to the Entry Data stage and add children one by one. This works fine where you have a small number for an examination series. Clearly this would be a very tiresome process where you have the main summer entry to prepare.

If a pupil is missing from the curriculum group, data can still be added at the Entry Data stage. You should not attempt to change the groups once the data has been populated. Check the pupils prior to starting the entry process.
