Assessment Reporting – Early Years Foundation Stage

Introduction
EYFS assessments require the use of Topics within each group. Previously this had been achieved for simple report outputs by creating another subject, populating the group and linking it to the main subject.  However due to the complexity of the assessment, we believe another solution is required.

Our intended solution is to create new functionality in the Assessment Module and database to allow sub-subjects to be added to the main group. The aim is to provide a flexible solution that can cater for existing reports and changes to topics and sections in the future.










To start using sections and topics in reports you will need add ReportEYFS to your Report Rule list to bring the standard Early Years report into your SchoolBase reports. It is possible to use sections and topics with other reports, but to do so you will need to ring us and find out what is available or what development would be required. You will also need to set up the topics and sections you are using. we are working on a standard set of sections and topics for UK Early Years reports so you will not have to type them all in.
