Correcting Data Adding missed groups

Using the Corrections tab you can sort out a number of potential problems.

You are half way through doing a set of entries when you discover that an entire group has been missed. Simply select the Examination Header you want to attach the group to from the dropdown labelled
Select exam head number. Select the teaching group and then click either Add group only or Add groups and pupils. If you spot the error before you have added pupils – use the first button. If you spot the error after adding pupils, use the second. The system looks to see whether the button you press makes sense and warns you if not.

You can delete an entire header. There are warnings to make you reconsider this as it is a drastic step and should only be used when

  • No entries have been exported and sent to the board
  • There is no relevant data in the groups
  • You are absolutely certain that you will never need this data again

Once deleted the data CANNOT be retrieved.

Rather than delete blank lines one by one, there is now a function that will delete all blank lines – but before you press, do check that the main entry has been done.

Finally, there is a facility to delete a group that has no entry. Typically this is Games or the like where it was not spotted at the point of checking groups but needs eliminating.
