The Forms list is a key part of SchoolBase, recording the forms/tutor groups/classes your school uses. Many areas of SchoolBase refer to this key lookup, including Registration, Assessments and Pupil records. It is accessed from two places, Forms - edit details in Lookup Forms and Edit the Form List in the Annual Update process.

When editing the form list for an annual update, the most important area is at the right hand side,the shadow data. This is telling the system where pupils will be going next academic year. e.g. 'If a pupil is in 1P they will move to 2P and Mrs Smith will be their form tutor'. To tell the system this, along the line describing 1P, put 2P in the shadow Move to column, and the mnemonic for Mrs Smith in the Tutor column.

Please note that changing a tutor in the ClassList will not change the tutor in the record of all the pupils in that class. This is because some schools use a tutoring system based on house rather than form, so tutors are not automatically linked. To change a form tutor, do not do it here, use the Change a form tutor tab on the Divers form.
