Assessment

Now that you have specified the overall characteristics of your assessment set you can refine the detail for each group. If you click the Groups button you can see the details of the groups involved in this set of assessments. This is your last chance to check that you have the correct teacher for each group. Once you are sure click on the Create groups button to create the new assessment group records (held in the AsGroup table). The Create groups button now disappears and is replaced by two new components:

Click the
Set Subjects button and a new form opens up on your assessment groups. At present each will be identical except for the Group name, Name and Subject. You may if you wish amend the Name now although it should already be correct.

You can now vary the components on a group by group basis, adding (or removing) grades, comments or scores. Where the settings are the same for all groups doing a particular subject, enter your settings for one of the groups, then click the Copy to like subjects button and the settings will be copied to the other groups where the Subject field is the same.

If the structure is identical to a previous assessment set, select the set in the dropdown labelled
Clone groups from and then click the Clone group structure now button.

Once you have completed this process for all groups, close the form.

Provided you are sure that you have specified the components for each group correctly (and you can return to them as often as you wish), tick the box labelled
Groups checked. The Set Subjects button and the check box now disappear and a new button Pupils to groups appears.
