Any pupil who is marked absent in the paper registers may be added to the Absence Records as shown below. This form is intended for use by schools who do not use the full attendance facilities of SchoolBase ®. By default the dropdown in the Pupil column lists all current pupils. However, you can restrict this to a particular part of the school by selecting from the unlabelled dropdown at the bottom of the form. The pupil’s class is displayed automatically and when the form is re-opened the pupils are displayed alphabetically by name.

An absence report can be created and used, for example, for display on school noticeboards or for evacuation procedures. This can display all parts of the school (click the Report all button) or a selected part (select the required part and click the Selection button). If you are using full electronic registration, today’s absentees can be imported into this list by clicking the Import E registers button.
