If the report includes fields to contain the number of half days missed by the pupil, or the number of occasions on which the pupil has been late for registration, these fields can be populated automatically. You should of course delay doing this as long as possible so that the data included is as recent as possible. To include the number of absences:
- Click the Append Absence button on the Assessment Menu.
- enter the range of dates over which you wish the absences to be counted
- select the assessment set in which you wish to include the data
- click the Add absences button
To include the number of occasions a pupil has been late:

click the Append Absence button on the Assessment Menu.

enter the range of dates over which you wish the lates to be counted

select the assessment set in which you wish to include the data

click the Add lates button
You can also add period absences and lates to parental reports, if you are using period registration in SchoolBase. This is done using the same technique, but using Add lesson absences and Add lesson lates buttons.
