There is a new report ‘NationalityCountByYear’ that works well on the pupil finder (use Forms and Reports to add the report). It shows one page per year with analysis of the nationalities of the children within that year. This was requested by the British School of Manila. However the International British School of Bucharest wanted the same information in a pivot table something like this:

To achieve this you need to:

• Set up a menu item as shown here in the new Forms and Reports form.
• Run the item from the menu. The result will look similar to the following

• Make sure the data is selected. If not or if you are not sure, click the white triangle indicated by the red arrow. This will select the data.
• Open the NationalityCounter.xlsm Excel spreadsheet and select the Data tab.
• Follow the instructions on the Data tab up to step 2.
• Copy the Query Viewer data from SchoolBase® using ctrl + c or right-click copy.
• Activate the NationalityCounter.xlsm excel spreadsheet and continue to the next step by pasting in the data using ctrl + v or right-click paste.
• Initialise the data by doing step 4 and then activate the pivot tab to see the result.
