There are several updates to external exams in preparation for this year’s results:
- Releasing of exam results on the SchoolBase® system is now much more finely controlled. Instead of a system variable which switches off all exam results, including historic ones; now by each exam header in the exams officers menu, you can choose if results for that header are released to parents or pupils in SchoolBase® Online or if ‘Release Results’ is ticked the results appear on the pupils’ records.

- Exam result analysis has been improved with spreadsheets showing totals for grades.
- Exam results can be added directly to testing & tracking allowing you to compare and analyse with other tracks, predictions etc.
- You can now sort the results report (ExamResultsAAs) by form, candidate number or alphabetical order.
- You can report the changes that have been made manually to exam results by pressing ‘Amended Results’ from the ExamResultOutput form, an idea from Pangbourne College.
- Also from the ExamResultOutput form, you can multi-select exam series to view results for.
- Exam unit grades are now stored in exam results.
- Maximum scores are shown in brackets after the title of the unit.
- For convenience, there is now a link from subject entry in the Exams Officer menu to the Subjects table.
- New field for export builder, PupXTime, allowing you to export extra time percentage allowed for pupils in exams.
- There is a report for exams entries by department, an idea from King’s School Bruton.
